winter 2014 tapity internship
I interned at Tapity, an app-design firm which has released award-winning apps, such as Hours and Grades. It was here that I got experience in UX design. As an exercise, I designed a profile app with basic information and examples of my work. I also began 3D modelling in Blender while here.
fall 2014 logo design and branding
Dr. Hetal Amin-Patel of Beautiful Dentistry was in need of a recognizable logo, which could be printed on various items. I created several shirt designs for her, as well as designs for printed tumblers, bags, and hoodies.
summer 2014 glenwood mural
The Glenwood mural was a project I spearheaded just outside of downtown Greensboro, NC. I worked with a team of seven other students over the course of nearly three months. The reception was quite fantastic from the residents and the finished mural was featured in the local Channel 12 news and an article in YES! Weekly magazine.
spring 2013 - fall 2014 radioshack
It is commonly known how difficult it can be working in retail, especially towards the holiday seasons. I worked at Radioshack for a year and a half and highly recommend the retail experience to anyone. Sure, the sales experience is nice, but working retail bolsters interpersonal skills, as well as patience.
spring 2011 piedmont family medicine
I consulted for Piedmont Family Medicine in Salisbury, NC. They built a new office at 1401 W Innes St. At the conclusion of that project, I had an opportunity to be involved from the construction phase at Beautiful Dentistry at 562 Valley Rd, in Mocksville. Over the course of my education, and through my involvement in development at these two locations, I strengthened communication and management skills.
